Nikki and Manny's Wedding (Makeup)

I'm on a role over here with these blog posts, but I can't help it! So this weekend was my cousin Manny's wedding! The whole family was uber-excited because he's pretty much one of the favorites! We all love us some Manny! I was honored to have been asked to do his wife's makeup for the wedding! Nikki has beautiful features and amazing eyes and I was just so excited for the opportunity.

I'm not gonna lie, I was a little intimidated, only because I had never done "white girl" makeup lol! He even texted me askin, "You know how to do makeup on white girls?" I've done makeup for pretty much every other type. But I was confident that I would do a good job. We didn't have much prep time since the wedding was put together pretty fast, but it all turned out great in the end.

The wedding was awesome, but the Bride...oh, she was stunning! And I was proud to have "hooked her up"! She made it super easy for me! I'm so happy for my Manny and Nikki and they give me hope that one day, I can have something as beautiful as what they have. They have a baby on the way and that baby is gonna be blessed with the best parents ever. (Can you tell I love my cousin?)

Okay, so enough with the mushy stuff and on to the makeup stuff. I will list the products that I used, as best as I can remember:

Face: MAC's Prep&Prime, Coastal Scents Camouflage Palette, Corrector Quad and MAC's Studio Fix Fluid, MAC's Studio Fix Powder and Blot Powder.
Cheeks: To contour I used an NYC Bronzer in Sunny, MAC Blushes in Enough Said and Notable.
Lips: MAC Lipstick in Embraceable and MAC lipglass in Nymphette.
Eyes: MAC Eyeshadows - Espresso, Brun, Carbon, Vex, Soft Brown, Vanilla, and Dazzlelight. Maybelline's LineWorks Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner, Loreal Voluminous Mascara, Red Cherry Lashes (forgot the #), and Embark/Brun for eyebrows.

*sigh* I think that was everything!

Thanks for reading and don't forget to suscribe!

African Black Soap and Unrefined Shea Butter from Coastal Scents

Okay, I didn't know which thing to talk about first...if you know me, you know that I have random ass thoughts in my head all the time, so its hard for me to choose one thing specifically. I will soon launch my YouTube channel where I will discuss beauty stuff, make tutorials and just share my thoughts!

Anyway, this blog here is about the aaahhh-mazing African Black Soap and Unrefined Shea Butter. So these two products were part of my Coastal Scents haul ( and I've been using them for the past 4 days and am so in love! These two products combined have made me question my whole existence, well not really but...they are like gold in a plastic bag. My skin feels super smooth and the dry patches I had on my face from my Eczema are gone! Yes, gone! I had a few breakouts and they are pretty much gone!

The texture of the soap is a little weird at first, its kind of crumbly but after you wet it a little its fine. The shea butter needs to be worked into your skin because it is pretty raw. But your skin feels great after. (If you have oily skin, you might just want to use the shea butter at night.) I have combination skin and it works fine. In the morning I let it sit for a little bit before applying a blot powder. I know I haven't been using this products for a long time, but I already see great results. I can't wait to see how my skin will look 2 weeks from now, a month from now...of course I'll keep you all updated!

I'm gonna "copy and paste" some stuff that I read on some websites while doing my research. Click on the links if you'd like to know more information.

The Benefits of African Black Soap

Not just your average, everyday bar soap, black soap is known as quite the wonder product! It has been recognized for its abilities to relieve acne scarring, reduce oily skin, clear blemishes, eliminate skin irritations, like rashes, reduce the discomforts associated with eczema and psoriasi! (Need I say more?)

The Benefits of Unrefined Shea Butter

Raw, unrefined shea butter is good for dry skin, skin rashes, skin peeling after tanning, sunburn, blemishes, cracked heels and skin, itchy skin, frost bite, stretch marks, scars, chapped lips, eczema, small wounds or scrapes, diaper rash, hair moisturizer, burns, athlete's foot, insect bites and stings, arthritis, muscle fatigue, sunburn, and scrapes. (Pow!)

Alright, I'm done with my raving...back to work! My boss is probably wondering why I'm typing so much.

My Hauls and Raves!

I'm sorry guys, I'm forever lagging...I know. My friend Nicole on Twitter reminded me that I have a blog a little bit ago, so I decided to come on here and write to you all. I'm probably gonna be all over the place because there's so much to say, I might just post separate blogs for this stuff. If you don't follow me on twitter, you should lol

Okay, so last week I received my Coastal Scents order and I must say that I am in love with pretty much everything that I received. I ordered the blush palette, lip palette, lip plumper, concealer camouflage palette, the concealer quads, as well as the corrector quad. And I can't forget the most amazing things African Black Soap and my Unrefined Butter. I seriously don't know how I wandered through life without them! I'll do my complete "OMG" blog about these products separately.

Well, I didn't only have a Coastal Scents haul. I also went crazy at Michael's, Target & MAC. So much damage, but I don't care! This is my addiction! I think it will be easier for me to just post pictures and then give reviews on all the products I purchased separately. Cuz otherwise I'd drive you all crazy. So please enjoy and be super jealous of my haul...bwahahahahaha! Sorry, that was my *crazy laugh* :D

Thursday, March 18, 2010 it's been forever since my first blog. I forgot I even had one! I have no idea how to customize it to make it look all pretty like the others I see, but I'll figure it out eventually.

I will post makeup looks soon. I'm having a hard time figuring out how I'm gonna go about it. I'm gonna start doing live videos soon and will let you guys know about that as soon as I get that together. My camera arrives next week, so I'm super excited! If you have any questions or want me to do specific looks, please comment and I'll try my best to get to all requests!

Alright, that's it for now...ttyl! Mwah!
